The renovation of the 3-bedroom apartment focuses to enlarge an existing space, create fluidity between each of the function and a showcase-like spatial experience where each of the feature unfolds through movement sequence.

The foyer is an alley-like space formed by dark walnut cabinet and partition, gives the glimpse of contrast bright interior of the main space. The panoramic view to the park is gradually open as one moves inside the apartment. At the center of a dining table, the reversed volcano ceiling is placed as the main feature of the space, which can be seen right after the foyer as well as inside the kitchen.

From the living and dining space, the whole kitchen “box” can be seen in full. As the café and food enthusiast, the client has requested for premium quality kitchen. The state-of-the-art kitchen, enclosed in the cave-like space inspired by Matera cave town, provides a sophisticated experience where all the equipment concealed behind cabinet doors and drawers. At the center of the kitchen lies a mahogany island with travertine top where the client can prepare food and plating. The island directs the view towards the dining table through the bar counter.

The kid bedroom separates from the main space through sliding glass door to maintain certain level of privacy while all the family members can still interact easily. The master bedroom is almost invisible from the common area, accessing through a frameless door to produce the seamless detail between the door and wood partitions.
